1. Who we are

Pick Local is operated by blueobsidian io LLC, 11000 W McNichols Rd, Ste 323, Detroit, MI 48221. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit the site, create an owner account, claim or manage a listing, or buy a plan. Questions go to hello@ezorders.shop.

2. What we collect

From visitors:

• Your approximate area (state and town), worked out from your IP address or the area you pick, so we can show nearby businesses. We store your choice in a cookie.
• Your device location, only if you press "Near me" and allow it. It is used once to find the nearest town and is not stored.
• Basic technical information every website receives: IP address, browser, pages viewed and referring page, kept in server logs and simple page view counts.

From business owners:

• Account details: name, email, phone (optional) and a password, which we store only as a secure hash.
• Claim details, such as your role at the business and any proof you send.
• Listing content you add: descriptions, hours, services, photos, deals, jobs and updates.
• Billing details: plan, subscription status and invoices. Card details are collected and held by Stripe, not by us.

About businesses: listings contain business information gathered from public sources, such as the business name, address, phone number, website, category, hours and public ratings. Where that includes a person's name, such as an owner who appears in public records or on the business's own website, we use it only to describe the business.

3. How we use it

• to run the directory and show visitors relevant local businesses;
• to create and secure owner accounts, verify claims and prevent fraud or misuse;
• to publish and review listings, deals, jobs and updates;
• to process payments and manage subscriptions;
• to send account and service emails, such as claim confirmations, password resets and billing notices;
• to invite businesses to claim or update their listing, unless they asked not to be contacted;
• to understand how the site is used and improve it;
• to meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a useful and safe directory, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, under contracts that limit their use of it:

• Railway, which hosts the site and its database;
• Stripe, which processes payments;
• our email delivery provider, which sends account and service emails;
• MiniMax, an AI provider that helps draft listing text and articles from business information (we do not send it visitor data or passwords);
• our lead and outreach tools, which hold business contact details and do not contact preferences;
• Google Fonts, which serves the typeface on our pages and receives your IP address when it loads;
• a content delivery network, if we use one, which may see your IP address and approximate location.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Information that owners publish on a listing is public by design.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs to work: to remember your area, to keep you signed in, and to show a message after a form. We do not use advertising cookies. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

6. How long we keep it

We keep owner account information while the account is open and for a reasonable period afterward for records, disputes and legal obligations. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period. Public business information stays in the directory until the listing is removed. A do not contact request is kept so that we can honor it.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, signed session cookies, limited staff access and other reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Your choices and rights

You can see and update most of your information from your owner dashboard. You can also ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to stop contacting your business, by emailing hello@ezorders.shop. We will confirm your request and respond within the time the law requires, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have additional rights, such as to know what we collect, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising, which we do not do. An authorized agent may make a request for you with proof of authority.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The site will still work for browsing, but you will need to choose your area again and will not be able to stay signed in.

9. Children

The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Owner accounts are for adults. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Where data is processed

We operate in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. By using the site you understand that your information is handled in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell owners about significant changes by email or on the dashboard.
